English premier League leaders Manchester United failed to increase their lead on defending champions Man City as they fell 1- 2 to their city rivals.
Man city went ahead through James Milner's deflected strike following Ryan Giggs carelessly loss of ball possession.
Man U responded quickly as Man City skipper Vincent Kompany turned in Phil Jones's wayward header.
Substitute Sergio Aguero drove in with an emphatic finish to give Man City a faint title hope with seven games left. Man U need to win at least four of their remaining games to clinch the EPL title.
However Man U is still leading with 12 points. Sir Alex Ferguson and the United team cannot afford to lose any match now to keep their title hope alive.
